To
curtail one’s freedom is like amputating their limbs, locking it in a safe box
and throwing away the keys. Human’s as we are, we are enthralled by the things
we see, hear, smell, taste and feel. For us, to believe means to experience it
on our own and not mere stories or hearsays. Indeed, experience plays a vital role
in our growth and development.
NLP
has been the subject of arguments and debates dating back to the 70s. Opinions
about NLP have been published in numerous journals containing positive and
negative arguments. Let us dissect two (2) important arguments and discuss its
relevance to Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP. To wit:
Premise: Neuro Linguistic Programming, NLP for brevity, hinders freedom.
Conclusion: The idea that NLP curtails one’s freedom has no basis. For some,
they see the
framework and techniques set forth by NLP as a limitation in
their growth and development. The truth of the matter is that, NLP, through its
framework and techniques allows an individual to leave his past behind, live in
his present and look forward to his future. The mantra, “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it” does not apply
to NLP. Rather, the cliché “Prevention is better than cure” suits NLP to its
core.
Being able to examine, realize and accept how you live your
life now paves the way for a better, richer and fuller life ahead. And that is what NLP is all about. It is
restructuring or resetting your entire system and freeing yourself from
negative vibes.
Freedom is not and never limited in NLP. The restructuring
done through the framework and techniques taught by NLP allows movement in the
system thus allowing growth to seep in. Stagnation hinders freedom and NLP does
not allow stagnation.
Premise: NLP has no clinical basis.
Conclusion: The word science appertains to the ability to produce solutions in
some problem
domain. In other words, solutions to problems backed by basis
and facts. For most of us, believing and accepting something means it has been
validated by science. NLP is not all about science; it is about making and
accepting change. Philosophically
speaking, change could only be felt and not attained.
To attain means to hold on to something tangible while felt speaks mainly of innate change. NLP is about innate change. Believe in your own self and everything will emanate from that. Let go of your negative vibes and fill yourself with positivity. Look forward to a brighter present and fulfilled future. That is what NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is all about.
To
refute everything that has been said about NLP is like defending yourself in
the courts of law. Let the populace talk about the benefits of NLP and the
change it bought to their lives. Embrace change. Enroll at the Tad James Co NLP Trainings and be amazed. Visit www. nlpcoaching.com.au
