Breaking down

The positive effects of crying

Crying is not a sign of being weak. It is just that you have been strong enough to hold on to the pain, it is time to let it all go.

Crying does not connote feebleness. The act itself is but natural and inevitable. Contrary to beliefs and pop culture, crying does not make you less of a human being. It is okay to cry and express your emotions. It shows how in tune and mature you are with regard to issues concerning the people and situation around you.

What makes you cry? Infamous and direct to the point question that majority of us would rather shrug off than answer. An atypical question to ask others but a necessity to ask the self.

Indeed, something’s are better off unsaid. However, it is also best to express your feelings. The tears flowing from your eyes prove that you are receptive to the emotions and feelings of others. You are concerned of their welfare and well-being. Mostly, you are but human capable of feeling the unfelt and expressing the inexpressible through the stream of tears flowing from your eyes.

Indeed, actions speak louder than words. You may not be able to express your emotions in words but your actions convey what you want to say. It is better than keeping mum about the situation and regretting the moment wherein you could have said and done anything.

If you want something, express it. If you miss someone, say it. If you love someone, tell them before it is too late. Live today as if it is your last day.  Remember, life does not have its pauses or rewinds or backtracks, it moves forward whether we like it or not; whether we are ready or not. Life takes on its course without any forewarning.

More so, breaking down does not connote or impose weakness rather it implies that you are strong enough to get hurt. You are human enough to accept defeat and failure that life has to offer. Learn to accept the fact that life, in all its glory, does not have a specific pattern applicable to all. Life is life – it is uncategorized, indefinable and undeniably different from person to person. Ergo, life is  fair  whether you like it or not.

Do not be afraid to express yourself. They may think you are frail and flimsy but, at the end of the day, what matters most is the fact that you are able to let it all out in the open and feel lighter than you have had. Forget about what have transpired and be inspired that, unlike the rest, you were brave enough to be true, not only to yourself, but to life in general.

  1. Yes, that is all true. But in fact, many peaple have not realize it today. I realy wanted to say this kind of things when I lived in japan. Cuz Japanese peaple like and get use to unexpress their feelings. Even they put themselves on hard stuation. I think JP old culture make them like this. But it doesn't need these days anymore. That makes them stress to be a suicide. That's why there are many thouthands suicide a year in Japan. That's big problem..
